Mark and Lori Berman and a good friend of theirs, bought Linda's Pizza, originally located in Lockport, IL, in 1980 from the Cirrencione family. The Bermans weren't really looking to open a business at that time, but with a profitable business up for sale, they thought they'd give it a shot. Part of the deal after the Bermans bought the business was that the Cirrencione family would stay for six months to show them the ropes of the business.

The Bermans moved Linda's Pizza to Joliet in 1981 when the west side location on Taylor St., formerly known as The Pizza Box, came up for sale. Then in 1982, the east side location on Washington St. in Joliet came up for sale...

...and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Bermans have been successfully running Linda's Pizza in Joliet for 45 years. Today, Mark Berman along with his son, Jonathan Berman, operate the two Linda's Pizza locations.

 

But great food is not all that Linda's Pizza contributes to Joliet. Linda's Pizza is active in the community and they have donated time and pizza to many worthy causes throughout the Joliet area. You might see us in the community:

 

• Hosting field trips to the east side location to teach doughmaking and food prep

• Visiting classrooms to talk about food prep

• Providing pizzas for classroom pizza parties to celebrate student success

• Donating pizzas and certificates to various benefits and fundraisers throughout the year
